A quick link to OVID full text journals is now available. Go to https://imcenter.med.navy.mil/telelibrary/jumpstart.htm. Click on the title of the journal you wish to use. The system will then take you a listing of all the issues of the journal that are available online full text. Click on the issue you need and choose the article you want. Click on OVID FULL TEXT to see the entire article.

Prescribers Letter, a newletter written by pharmacists for physicians, is often informative. They have a good website (www.prescribersletter.com) and offer a version of the newsletter that can be downloaded free to a PDA for subscribers.

Click the LIBRARIES link under LITERATURE for the list of libraries participating in LinkOut 6. nd click the UPDATE LINKOUT PREFERENCES at the bottom of the page to save 7. Now when you are searching PubMed, go to CUBBY first, execute the search, and when viewing the results in the ABSTRACT or CITATION format you will see if we have the article either electronically or in our print collection.

Select WebMD Scientific American Medicine from the "Select Titles to Search" window. The system will restrict the search to Scientific American Medicine.

Skyscape - www.skyscape.com has released ARTBeat a new news service that has medical information sent daily, interacts with their other software, and can have custom channels created as well. skyscape has a free offering called ARTbeat, supporting multiple channels of information such as late breaking news on drugs and diseases, as well as frequently updated information such as drug news and journal subscriptions. Currently released channels include MedWatch, the FDA Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program, and a weekly update channel from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Website.
